Why are some reviews so crude and mean? For a first game, it's an awesome start! C'mon people, I was born playing a ugly Wolfenstein 3D and wasn't complaining back then.

Well pal, as for my review. Yes, the game lacks some things, such as proper 'steering' around the dungeon, and a more solid plot with which both player and gameplay can relate to. I really felt no connection between plot and gameplay.

But yeah, there's the game platform, there's the ideas, objects et al. Work more on it, and you may have an interesting next game! Keep it going!

this comment means a lot to me, that you so much!

Why is it that when I press the space bar my screen just scrolls down? That makes the game unplayable for me

(using Opera browser on Linux Mint)

Fatal-Exit responds:

Interesting, I don't have Linux or opera, I'd say most likely it's an issue with your browser, unfortunately I can't test, this game was made for a jam in 40 hours so I didn't have the time for major playtesting.

I liked the overall aesthetics, there is still room for a lot of improvement here

SilverwareGames responds:

Thanks, sayomgwtf did a great job with the art. We are hoping to add some things to make it even more fun so stay tuned.

I've since played your first one and then got myself smiling for seeing your second one at the frontpage. You have so much well-knit in your little game, like the well-balance gaming curve, values, income, upgrades all well-balanced in a way that stimulates the player into really descending to the atmospheric little carddeck world you conceived. The music is also a charming touch to the immersing experience thorough the gameplay.

And 8-bit.

Truly, I loved it. There is much you have accomplished, also so much you've improved by reviewing some mechanics and adding new content since the last instalment. By the whole, one can feel the fond you are of your creation by noticing all the little details and great care you dedicated to it.

To add even more to the pleasant atmosphere and involving environment of gameplay, might I add that it'd be interesting to proceed further into the overall layout of the screens, cards, backgrounds, and menus. For a third version - which I and many others are surely hoping for - I'd suggest the following reviews:

- Smoothness/sharpness/resolution of some sprites (hero, enemies, cards, events etc)
- overall menu layouts (redrawn/sprited in a visual language similar to the overall visual language of the other game elements)

Think of the missing half star as my personal motivation for you to keep improving your awesome skills.

Other than that, no more suggestions come to mind for now. Keep up the good work, pal!

Thank you, for your support and for the detailed feedback. I'm glad you had fun, It was good to read these lines :)

How did this thing get through the Under Judgement vault I wonder

ConnorJca02 responds:

Magic and bribes.

I admire yout effort and energy, but your project can hardly be considered a game... maybe I missed something there, but it seems lije just random piling up geometric shapes

qt01 responds:

Thanks for your feedback , I will work on improving my work in the future.

More an interactive story than a game, but that's okay! Nice palette and atmosphere

Nirag responds:

Thanks!
You're right, it's more an interactive story than a game!

Some random events drawn by an event stack/trigger would add greatly to this game!

nicknow responds:

Thanks for the feedback! That's a good idea and something I'm hoping to implement in a future version.

Back in the cd-rom magazine days there was a game I played called Gigi something-something, a simple yet cute Windows shareware RPG whose protagonist was a kitty. Playing your game made me remember such a days. Great game!

taj-tajima responds:

Ty for the feedback, I would love to know what game it was!!
